Study for the Future

The Anières program study tracks were formulated against the backdrop of technological development and the need for multi-disciplinary knowledge in science, with an emphasis on the fields of biotechnology, physics and computer science. The program teaches personal and social responsibility, scientific-engineering leadership, the development of systematic, strategic thinking, innovation and creativity.

Ninth Grade

  • Compulsory studies according to the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
  • Hebrew Ulpan, Mathematics, English, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Art, Computer Science and Robophysics.

Tenth Grade

  • Compulsory studies according to Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
  • Mathematics and English at a 5-unit level.
  • Expanded subjects – physics, biology, chemistry and software engineering at a 5-unit level.
  • The first year of the Robophysics Program in cooperation with the Technion Faculty of Electrical Engineering – An accredited academic course by the Ministry of Education, granting one credit towards a degree in Electrical Engineering. The grade in Robophysics counts as 30% of the matriculation score, with 2 internal matriculation units in a physics research project.*
  • The first year of the “Aero in the Valley” Program in cooperation with the Technion’s Faculty of Aerospace.*
  • Students who excel will be able to take part in academic courses at the Technion and accumulate points for a degree – between 3-5 credits per course.*

Eleventh Grade

  • Studies and preparation for matriculation examinations according to the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
  • The second year of the Robophysics program.
  • The second year of the “Aero in the Valley” program – Introduction to Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering.*
  • An opportunity to join the “Archimedes” program at the Technion’s Faculty of Chemistry on Fridays.*
  • Preparatory courses for psychometric exams.
  • Students who excel will be able to take part in academic courses at the Technion and accumulate points for a degree – between 3-5 credits per course.*

Twelfth Grade

  • Studies and preparation for matriculation examinations according to the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
  • The third year of the Robophysics program – presentation of projects.*
  • The third year of the “Aero in the Valley” program – “Sports Aviation”. *
  • Participation in the Technion’s open day and in the Atuda (Reserve) program’s Confernce: Presentation of the Atuda academic study track – a joint program of the IDF and the Technion, the subject matter of the different faculties, and employment possibilities.*

Bachelor’s Degree Studies at the Technion

Students in the program who meet the prerequisites for admission to the Technion will continue on for a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science as part of the IDF’s Academic Atuda.

Among the undergraduate study majors are: Electrical engineering and electronics, computer engineering, information systems engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering and management, aeronautical and aerospace engineering, geo-information engineering.

In the exact sciences, students may choose majors such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, and more.

 

Military Service

Following completion of the Bachelor’s degree, the students will be drafted into compulsory military service in the IDF and will be employed in the engineering or science professions they studied at the Technion’s Atuda program.
